2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE
November 20 2023,
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE luxury sports car is replacing the C-Class and E-Class sport coupes. Enthusiasts will be able to enjoy it in early 2024; however, they’ll most likely have to wait until spring for the convertible version of the model to come out.
The CLE Coupe is available on the Canadian market in a 300 4MATIC version, which comes with a four-cylinder engine. However, the long hood has enough room to house the engine block of an inline-six. The 450 4MATIC version (with a three-liter stroke volume producing 375 hp) may subsequently be on display in dealer showrooms, as well.
An efficient Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe for 2024
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE sport coupe features an electrified powertrain that makes it relatively economical to drive. Going from 0 to 100 in a little under six seconds, while maintaining average fuel consumption of 10.3, 7.4 and 9.0 liters per 100 kilometers (city, highway and combined), is a good score in and of itself.
This fuel efficiency is largely thanks to the 2.0 L inline-four turbo engine, supported by a mild hybrid system. The latter is composed of a 48-volt integrated starter-generator and a small lithium-ion battery. The system is capable of recovering braking energy and lending a power boost when departing from a stop and during supported accelerations, adding an extra 23 hp and 148 lbf·ft under the pedal. Incidentally, the internal combustion engine delivers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It can rely on an excellent A9 transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
An impressive, customizable sports car
Mercedes-Benz wanted the interior of the 2024 CLE Coupe, which seats four, to be roomier for the front-seat passengers. That’s why the designers increased the dimensions of the vehicle, making it larger than the C-Class and E-Class. As a result, the trunk also benefits, with an expanded volume of 420 liters.
As for the exterior look, it’s worthy of the Mercedes brand: distinguished, understated, classic and refined. Meanwhile, the interior boasts German ergonomics. In other words, it exhibits practicality, technology and luxury, all without excessive bling. Examples include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch center touchscreen tilted toward the driver, an MBUX infotainment system, Hey Mercedes voice recognition using AI, 800+ parameters, the Mercedes me owner app (cloud data storage) and multiple options in combinations of colors and materials (Nappa leather, wood, ambient lighting, etc.).
